Following the 2007/2008 post-election violence (PEV), YIKE initiated peacebuilding programs in collaboration with a consortium of organizations, including ActionAid, PeaceNet, and Amani Kibera. Since then, YIKE has deliberately integrated peacebuilding as a core component of its youth training programs, promoting peaceful coexistence and social cohesion among diverse communities.
